FWP is keen to improve the health outcomes of Maasai living in cities, who frequently go without shelter, food, water and access to toilets / bathing facilities.

For the last few years, we have worked in partnership with  Stanford University students on research investigating Maasai perceptions of health and their use of health services. The focus on research was particularly on urban migrant Maasai, given their increased exposure to disease and poor sanitation.

FWP assisted with the development of the research proposal, question design, managing logistics of the research and sourcing translators and people to participate in interviews.

We welcome any Universities to partner with us on development research that could be beneficial to the Maasai communities
